Kaspersky and GRAMAX Collaborate to Empower Women in Cybersecurity, ETCISO

The event, titled Resilience in Action: The Women Beyond The Firewalls, focused on the current landscape for women in technology, underscoring both the progress made and the roadblocks that remain.

According to Kaspersky’s previous Women in Tech report, 56% of women in tech observe a positive shift in gender equality within their organizations. However, nearly 4 in 10 still hesitate to enter the field due to a perceived lack of female representation, and 44% believe men continue to advance more quickly in their careers. These insights sparked discussions on the importance of visibility, mentorship, and systemic change to create sustainable impact.
“Empowering women in cybersecurity isn’t just a social goal; it’s a business priority for us at Kaspersky. We firmly believe that diverse and inclusive teams drive innovation and stronger problem-solving skills. Our collaboration with GRAMAX reflects our belief that with the right tools, mentorship, and visibility, women thrive as leaders. This event marks a step toward a more inclusive, future-ready cybersecurity industry,” said Mr. Jaydeep Singh, General Manager for India at Kaspersky.

In the session, women leaders from both Kaspersky and GRAMAX shared their journeys and career insights, offering a realistic yet hopeful view of what it takes to thrive in tech. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking conversations around inclusive hiring, leadership development, and the role of allies in building equitable workplaces.

“We are proud to partner with Kaspersky on this important initiative. At GRAMAX, we believe fostering diversity is not only a moral imperative but a strategic advantage. By creating platforms where women are seen, heard, and supported, we are actively contributing to shaping a stronger and more innovative future for the cybersecurity industry,” said Mr. Bithal Bhardwaj, CEO – GRAMAX.

Kaspersky’s commitment to diversity is long-standing. Today, 25% of its global tech workforce comprises women, with 16% holding senior management roles. The company’s Women in Tech project, spearheaded by regional and global leaders, focuses on building a more equitable environment through initiatives such as Empower Women, internal mentoring programs, and regional campaigns like Women in the History of Tech.

The event also showcased Kaspersky’s partnerships aimed at systemic impact, including its MoU with Smart Africa to run dedicated STEM programs for women and girls across the continent. These initiatives reflect Kaspersky’s broader vision of creating a Cyber Immune future, one that is secure by design and inclusive by intent.

What is Firewall? A Firewall is a network security device that monitors and filters incoming and outgoing network traffic based on an organization's previously established security policies. At its most basic, a firewall is essentially the barrier that sits between a private internal network and the public Internet.

Secure your network at the gateway against threats such as intrusions, Viruses, Spyware, Worms, Trojans, Adware, Keyloggers, Malicious Mobile Code (MMC), and other dangerous applications for total protection in a convenient, affordable subscription-based service. Modern threats like web-based malware attacks, targeted attacks, application-layer attacks, and more have had a significantly negative effect on the threat landscape. In fact, more than 80% of all new malware and intrusion attempts are exploiting weaknesses in applications, as opposed to weaknesses in networking components and services. Stateful firewalls with simple packet filtering capabilities were efficient blocking unwanted applications as most applications met the port-protocol expectations. Administrators could promptly prevent an unsafe application from being accessed by users by blocking the associated ports and protocols.
